Price Per Image, Image Options, Apple or Orange?
Idiom: comparing apples and oranges
Definition: two things that are completely different and cannot be compared
We are regularly asked to provide our 'price per image', usually in a tender process. Sometimes there is no more definition to the 'brief' than that question - clearly a difficult one to answer without further discussions.
A price per image? Not straightforward - it varies. Take a look at our work and you will see many different image options. Are you looking for an apple or orange?
Different image options are suitable for different needs - Concept, Photoreal, Photomontage, AVR/Verified View. Many factors influence the final costs and price per image can vary from £100s to £1000s.
Therefore, we always welcome early discussions to help both of us to understand your project aims. Once we have had a chat we can recommend the most effective image option for your project.
We rely on our experience to quote a fixed image cost. We could offer a low initial price and then charge extras if the design changes. We understand the design and planning process and know this approach would be disruptive.
When preparing a tender proposal it is helpful to provide a clear brief so all competitors can propose a similar quality of image. Help by including examples of imagery you have in mind so we can judge your level of expectation and possibly make alternative suggestions. Research the companies you are thinking of asking to tender so you know their image quality and level of service are comparable.
What do you want the image to achieve - competition win, fundraising, planning approval or marketing success? How complex is the project? How detailed is the available design information? How many images? Timescale? Budget?
We are happy to help regardless of your fruit preference...
