Gateshead Car Park
Our collection started when Gateshead Trinity Square ‘Get Carter' Car Park, built in 1966, was due to close for demolition in 2008. Our photograph was taken from Level 5 while queueing to access the Level 7 rooftop restaurant during the final public opening event in April 2008.

Preston Bus Station Car Park
Preston Bus Station Car Park, built in 1969, was earmarked for demolition in December 2012. It was saved in September 2013 after being declared a Grade II-listed historic building. Repair and rennovation work is in progress. Our photograph taken from Level 6 in April 2013.

Welbeck Street Car Park
Welbeck Street Car Park, built in 1971, is at risk from demolition following approval of plans for its demolition in August 2017. The car park was denied listed heritage status in 2016. Our photograph taken from Level 7 in August 2017.

Sunderland Civic Centre Car Park
Sunderland Civic Centre Car Park, designed in 1965 by Sir Basil Spence, Bonnington and Collins, built in 1970, is at risk from demolition following Sunderland City Council's proposed move to the new City Hall on Riverside Sunderland. The site is earmarked to be sold for housing development. Our photograph taken from Level 3 in July 2021.
